Bitcoin Diamond is a hard fork of Bitcoin aimed towards protecting the privacy for users and other issues. The fork’s developers have encrypted all transaction info for the coin similar to Monero (XMR). BCD is attempting to increase transaction times with a 8MB block size and reduce the transaction fees. There is a max supply of 210 million BCD, 10 times that of BTC. BCD is currently finishing its main chain encryption in Q2 of 2018 and is set to be fully developed in 2020. There is significant speculation that Bitcoin Diamond can accomplish its goals and will evolve to be the ‘Better Bitcoin’.
